Dear ^fname^,
Summer heat has come to Las Vegas. My year as Las Vegas Chapter president of NSA is coming to an end and my life continues to unfold in new directions.
In May, I was invited to speak to the fifth grade classes at Jack Dailey Elementary School's Career Day. What a wonderful experience. They were attentive and asked great questions…some better than I get from my adult audiences! They even invited me back to be the commencement speaker at their graduation.
On one of my trips to St. George, I was introduced to the President and "Chief Sculptor" of the School of Life Foundation. The foundations mission is to "Teach, train, motivate and inspire youth to 'Achieve Straight A's in the School of Life'." I attended one of their introductory programs and immediately decided to become involved. I have now been appointed as the Chief Inspirational Officer for the foundation and am actively engaged in spreading the word about this program. You can learn more about it at www.schooloflifefoundation.com.
The launch of the latest book in the Life Choices series, Life Choices: Pursuing Your Passion was held at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas June 11th. Many of the authors were on hand to share their stories with an appreciative audience. Authors from the first two books joined in the festivities. Our life choices family of authors is growing. We are in the early planning stages for Life Choices: The Event, a three day inspirational seminar presented by authors from the series. The event will be held in Las Vegas October 21, 22 & 23. Save the dates and plan to be in Las Vegas so you can be part of this exciting first time event.
We will soon be accepting stories for the new Life Choices book, Life Choices: It's Never Too Late. If you would like a copy of the submission guidelines, contact Turning Point International (702) 896-2228 or judi@judimoreo.com.
Remember, you are more than enough!

One Thing
By Judi Moreo
Ever feel like everything in your life is out of control and dealing with it all is completely overwhelming? Most of us have. For many of us, it is because somewhere along the line, for reasons of which we may or may not be aware, clutter has crept into our lives. It has stealthily invaded our homes, our offices, our cars and our minds. It is so much a part of our everyday life, we no longer recognize it as the intruder and enemy it is.
We all have clothes we no longer wear, recipes torn out of magazines we've never cooked, papers we need to look at, file or throw away but haven't. We also have old beliefs about ourselves, ideas that no longer serve us, other people's opinions and the daily news cluttering our minds. No wonder we can't find the time or energy to do the things we want to do and feel overwhelmed. We become paralyzed by our clutter.
Ideally, our homes should reflect our own peaceful, joyful spirits. Unfortunately, most of us have minds cluttered with tensions, fears and disappointments. The clutter in our lives reflects our own inner turmoil.
There is good news, however, for the chronically over-cluttered, over-worked and over-whelmed. We can change the status quo in our lives. It is possible to find our way out of the maze of clutter and make a clean, fresh start. It begins by making a conscious decision to do ONE thing; to throw away, donate or sell ONE thing; to let go of ONE idea. When we have done that, it is easier to do ONE MORE. It may take time, but a commitment to changing our thinking and habits can lead to an organized, comfortable and clutter free existence.
The bonus is that it also leads to a more peaceful, joyful and successful life…one day, one thought, one thing at a time.
Mind Workout
10 Minutes
Make a list of chores, areas of your home and life to be de-cluttered and organized. Set aside 10 minutes every day for the next 21 days. Starting with the easiest spot on the list, sort, clean and organize one area.
Use the following questions to determine whether to keep, toss, donate or sell items in question:
- How long has it been since I used this?
- Will I ever need to use it?
- Do I have more than one? How many do I need?
- Do I like it?
- If I keep it, what can I get rid of to make room for it?
- Is it broken? Should it be fixed or replaced?
- If I were moving to a new home, job or relationship, would I take this with me?
- If I keep it, where should I put it so I can find it when I need it?
Seeing the results from your previous day's endeavors will inspire and encourage you to keep your commitment to 10 minutes a day. Once you have everything the way you want it, the same 10 minutes a day will help to keep it that way.
