Dear
,
What an amazing month March turned out to be!
We filmed the movie “The Journey” this month. This movie is the brain child of my friend, Don Boyer. It’s a wonderful story. “The Journey” will be released in December with a red carpet premier and all the trimmings. I had such a marvelous time being in it and met some incredible people.
I was the keynote speaker at the ShopBest convention at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas and received a standing ovation from about 300 people. Again, I met many, many wonderful people. If you haven't signed up for your free shopping membership yet, go to www.shopbest.com/moreo and do so right away. You'll be glad you did.
I had my yearly mammogram and ended up in the hospital on my birthday having surgery on both breasts. What a shock that was! Things like that just don’t happen to me! But guess what… it did! Just when everything was going along so well. I was thinking how this was just not a good time for something like this to happen….and then I remembered my late father whenever I would say something like that about it not being a good time… he would reply, “Well, Judi, when would be a good time to have something like this happen?” I could never think of when a good time for bad situations really would be. Actually, I guess I was lucky that I had a relatively early detection. The surgeon performed a lumpectomy on each breast and said she believes she got all of the cancer. However, I have to go for another surgery on the lymph nodes very soon to see if the cancer has spread and then have radiation treatment. I have an appointment next week with a specialist so I can make an informed decision about my treatment.
Thank you! I have had many wonderful notes and letters from so many of you supporting me through this journey and I really appreciate them as well as your prayers. I appreciate the sharing of those of you who have been through the breast cancer yourselves. This is not easy and I love each and every one of you who have reached out to me. I even appreciate those of you who have said, “Well Judi, knowing you, there’s a book in here somewhere.” Well, there just might be. One never knows! Right now, I’m just concentrating on my health challenge and looking at ways to eat better and nurture myself.
I hope you’ll do the same thing for yourself. One things for sure! This is not the most fun I’ve ever had! I far preferred the movie filming!
Always remember, you are more than enough,
Judi
Who told you life was going to be easy? There are lots of troubles, irritations, and pains in life. Things happen. Things go wrong. People don’t always do what we want them to. Don’t depend on other people for your happiness. Depend on yourself. Be who you are. Do the things you want to do. Get for yourself the things you want to have. Don’t wait for someone else to be it, do it, or get it for you. The only places you will find knights in shining armor on white horses are in shows on the Las Vegas Strip and in old black-and-white movies. No one is going to ride up and save you. Take care of your own needs. It is not selfish to take care of yourself. The Bible says “to love thy neighbor as thyself.” It doesn’t say “instead of thyself.” This is called self-reliance. Learn the difference between wishing, hoping, and desiring. Desire is a motivating force. When you desire something enough and back it up with hard work, you will make it come alive in your life.
Successful people understand there is a price to pay for achieving success. Sometimes this involves making sacrifices in order to reach your goals. My dad used to remind me often, “People are successful because they do the things failures don’t like and are not willing to do. Successful people take full responsibility for finding their own path to achievement.”
Many set backs are foreseeable. If we take the time to think about what possible obstacles will come up, we can be prepared to take alternative action. Be prepared by asking yourself, “How would I handle this situation if I run into a roadblock or if an emergency occurs?” No matter what your situation, you can make your journey easier if you prepare yourself by exploring the alternative routes in advance.

Mind Workout: Mind Mapping |

What It Is
Mind mapping is a form of group brainstorming originated by Tony Buzan. It is used for quickly charting ideas into logical groupings when information is given in a non-sequential manner. Mind mapping allows you to see things in perspective and to prioritize efficiently to take action. The intention of mind mapping is to use random thinking without worrying about the order or organization of ideas captured.
How it Works
Identify specifically what you want to brainstorm and place a key word or symbol in the center of your mind map within a circle. Members of the group brainstorm their ideas and branch out their individual ideas, which are drawn out from the center. Typically, more important ideas will be closer to the center and less important ideas will stem farther out. Do not apply structure to this exercise by attempting to put ideas in order.
You can create a mind map to help you brainstorm a project, speech, report or event.

“The Great Ones (A Business Fable)”
By Ridgely Goldsborough
When it comes to success in life, there are few relationships that will have a greater transformative impact than that of a mentor. No matter what you do for a living, what industry or career track you choose, finding someone who has walked the path before you can help you reach your goals and avoid pitfalls in your quest of long-term success.
The Great Ones is a delightful and enlightening fable that reveals the importance of mentors and the pivotal difference a great mentor can have on one’s life. For young entrepreneurs and business leaders, it imparts valuable lessons on the fundamentals of success, both professionally and personally.
This is the best self help book that I have read in years. The writing itself is extremely creative. It is definitely a MUST READ. And it is a book that you will read to your children….They will love it and learn from it.

...To say it has been a joy working with you falls short. I have often thought of sharing my story but hesitated. Timing is everything, they say. Through your vision and encouragement, the time was right. You made the experience of publishing my childhood story one that I know has already changed my life and will change the lives of others. Moving forward is now the only sight I see. Thank you for your commitment to excellence for yourself and the lives of others.

...You and I came together for Life Choices on the recommendation of a mutual friend Casey McNeal. Neither of us, I am sure, knew what to expect.
