Hi
,
I need your help. As you know, this month I have locked myself up to finish my new book for Stephen’s Press entitled, “Think It, Believe It, Live It: Every Woman’s Guide to Purpose, Passion, and Power.
Writing a book by myself is not the easiest thing I’ve ever done. In fact, it’s proving to be very challenging. With the other books I’ve written, I’ve had a co-author or co-authors so there has been someone to discuss the ideas, the content, the way it sounds, and whether or not the stories are moving or emotional. This time there’s no one in the same room or at the other end of the email to give their opinion one way or the other. So I’m requesting some help from you. This is a book for women about how to discover, achieve and have...Purpose, Passion, and Power.
Please give me your ideas for things you would like to know or maybe would have liked to have known earlier in your life. Or share a story with me about your success or your failure and give me permission to put it in the book. If you would be willing to read a chapter or two and send me a critique on what you liked or didn’t like, I’d love to have you do it. If you will give me a testimonial to go on the books website or the cover, I’d love to have you do that too. Let me know. As I’m not taking phone calls much, please email me at judi@judimoreo.com.

Close Your Mind to Negativity |
|
In the average workplace today, you are hearing approximately 5 negative statements per hour. That adds up to 800 negatives a month. And some of us live with people that are less than positive. That ups the numbers. It takes between 14 and 20 positive statements to overcome l negative. So who do you have giving you your quota of positives every month? Probably no one.
Negativity is a virus and it’s catching. Close your mind to other people’s negativity. Don’t listen to it if you can avoid it at all. And don’t participate. Make yourself immune to it by understanding that no one else can make you unhappy. No one else can make you angry. No one else can make you sad. No one else can hurt your feelings. Unless you allow them to! You choose what you think about what others say and do and how you react or respond to situations. Sure, others can trigger old feelings from our past, but they can’t determine how we feel or how we behave. How you react or respond to what they do and say is up to you! Learn what your hot buttons are, examine why they set you off, change your thinking about the situation, and determine not to take part in their gripe sessions. Surround yourself with positive people. Make every attempt to practice that old adage, “If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
After all, 70% of the negativity you hear every day probably comes out of your own mouth!

Music stimulates the brain’s creative centers. Choosing music is a natural enhancer to aid in certain types of thinking. It is used either to calm or energize thinking processes. Music will help reconnect team members to ideas they might have worked on previously.
During thinking time, play instrumentals. The rhythmical flow of classical music such as Bach, Vivaldi, and Pachelbel will help people get in the “zone.” Music with lyrics should support the planned agenda or main theme you want to reinforce.
