Hi
,
Well, it’s June and the year is half over. How are you doing on your goals?
Are these goals what you really want in life? If they are what you want most, then why are you procrastinating and not getting them accomplished? If they aren’t what you really want, then you might need to amend them. Or you might need to just fine tune them. But be sure they are what you want.
Then remember that you can’t travel in two directions at one time. Singleness of purpose is necessary to accomplish your goals. Don’t allow yourself to compromise. The law of cause and effect tells us, “That to which we give our attention is going to become our experience.” What are you giving your attention to?
Did you write your goals down on a piece of paper? Did you cut out your pictures of all the things you want to do, have, and be? Did you paste them in your book? Are you looking at them every day? Are you making yourself a note each day of what 3 things you can do tomorrow toward your goal? If you answered, “no” to any of these questions, please think about why not?
Someone told me the other day that she didn’t think she accomplished her goals because she has an underlying belief that it is wrong to want material things! Acquiring material things is the outer evidence of your success consciousness. Just be sure you don’t put yourself in debt where you are so stressed you can’t enjoy them or that you acquire these things at the expense of someone else. It’s certainly ok to have a nice home, a nice car, nice clothes, etc. It shows the world who you think you are.
Remember too, that when you write your goals, you must believe that you will achieve them. Dreams come true in wonderful ways. It doesn’t matter if your goal is business success, a new home, a new car, to gain or lose weight, quit smoking, or have a new romance. Whatever it is, if you haven’t written it down, do it now! Put it in an envelope addressed to yourself. Put a stamp on it. Then put it in another envelope and mail it to me at P. O. Box 231360, Las Vegas, Nevada 89105. I will send it back to you at Thanksgiving and I’m sure you will be surprised at what has materialized in your life
I’m waiting to hear from you!

Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?
Let’s face it! If you work with or live with other people, you are bound to encounter difficult situations, challenges and conflicts at one time or another. Most people don’t like conflict, so they avoid it like the plague and hope it will go away. Often they will suppress or discount their own emotions in an attempt to keep the peace or “just get along”.
When dealt with assertively, conflict can actually be a good thing. It can clarify situations, strengthen relationships, and create positive change.
In this practical program, you will learn how to:
- Deal with conflict in a positive manner
- Recognize the three stages of conflict
- Anticipate and handle your emotions
- Stay calm on the outside when you are frazzled on the inside
- Constructively confront differences
- Create a positive, productive and rewarding environment

Mind Workout: Creativity Culture |
|
What It Is:
A series of activities designed to get your team members to contribute ideas on a regular basis.
What You’ll Need
- Web site, Intranet
- Whiteboard
- Markers
How It Works
Create a culture of creativity by letting people know that you want and value their ideas on a regular basis.
- Create a “Good Ideas” page on your Web site and encourage everyone to contribute.
- Place a whiteboard and markers in a conspicuous place like a break room with the subject or problem to be addressed written on the board. Advise everyone to write on the board any ideas they have pertaining to this subject.
- Document and keep good ideas in an “Ideas File.” Then when the time is right and you implement the idea, let everyone know whose idea it was. Team members will feel good knowing their ideas were worth keeping and they’ll know you were really listening to them.
- Create an “e-grapevine.” Use your intranet or Web site as a place to collect and post ideas, opinions and suggestions for improvement.
- Schedule “agendaless” meetings. Invite people to come and just talk about whatever is on their minds. It shows that you care about them and value their opinions.

The group really enjoyed her. What a great message! She is one of the best speakers I have heard in a long time. She does her homework and is great to work with. We want her again next year. I’d also like to arrange training seminars on site with Judi. |
