Hi Everyone!
Summer has hit Las Vegas! It’s hot here. Already 107 degrees most days. The nights are beautiful. My cousin, Marla, is visiting from Dallas/Fort Worth area and we have been doing the tourist thing. It’s fun to drive down the Las Vegas strip, look at the lights, architecture, and tourists one more time. It makes me realize how fortunate I am to live in a place that people love to visit. There’s always something exciting happening here. This month I’ve already been to see Divas at the Imperial Palace, Frankie Moreno at the Stratosphere, and had dinner at the revolving Top of the World restaurant, attended the launch of the Fashion Design Council with good friend, Patricia Fripp; the Nevada Conservatory Theatre benefit performance with Clint Holmes and many other fabulous LV strip performers; good friend Richel Kompst’s one woman show “Blame It On the Walleye” and now Marla and I are off to see a performance of Dancing With the Stars. No wonder I’m tired! I’ve been having too much fun!
Getting ready to head out to California to speak at the California Staffing Professionals conference and practicing my speech for the eWomen Network, America’s Next Top Speaker Competition in Dallas in July. Very excited about being a top 10 finalist in this competition.
Also producing the Vegas Voice Women’s Expo and Fashion Show “Another Year of Fabulous” which will take place on October 20th at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino here in Las Vegas. We expect between 600 – 800 ladies to attend this event. I’ll be commentating the fashion show. Haven’t done that in about 20 years. Sure hope you will come to Vegas for this fabulous event. Exhibit space still available if you have a product which you want to get in front of a large group of affluent women! I’m hoping to have my new book completed and ready to launch at this event. “Overcoming Cancer: A Journey of Faith” is a work of love. It’s my story, but it’s much, much more. I think it will give people with cancer a new perspective...and hope.
How’s your summer going? Let me know. I’m always excited to hear from you.
Remember, you are more than enough,
Judi
Life Is Full of Possibilities
It is up to us to open our minds to what “can be” and then make the choice to pursue it passionately. Many people are doing what they do because they think they have to do it. All too often, choices are made based on what we believe is the “right” thing to do rather than on what will make us happy.
Each of us has within us a wellspring of energy, creativity, and inspiration. It is always there, even when we are not aware of it…even when we are tired, burnt out and just doing our best to get through each day. This energy inside of us has its own voice. When we are quiet long enough, we can hear it calling us out of our ruts and into a life of possibility. When we listen to that voice, we are inspired. We become more positive. We become more creative. We become passionate.
Passion is thought turned into performance...it’s the energy that propels you to your destination. It is one of our most important traits. Like confidence, passion is something you create for yourself.
First, you must have a goal that you want to achieve. Passion implies you believe in yourself enough to go after your goal. Passion tells the world you have a dream, you have courage, and you see success in your future. When you are passionate, you are willing to grow daily and adjust your priorities to achieve your desires.
Go after what you want with passion. Success is as competitive as any sport. Don’t sit back and wait for someone to discover you. Get out there and do something. You have as much ability as anyone else.
Life is a succession of choices. You have the ability to choose. Be bold. Follow your passion. A life lived with passion is full of possibilities.
