Charismatic International business people using a laptopThere is a mystical aspect to a charismatic personality.  People recognize it and respond to it, but often don’t know how to describe it or to get it for themselves.  Charisma develops as we learn to accept people for who they are (their abilities, talents, skills, attitudes, and opinions) without making judgments about them.

If you will consider the other person’s feelings and viewpoints, you will project warmth and understanding.  Show interest in others.  Always remind yourself that other people are as proud, ambitious, and sensitive as you are.  Consider how you would feel if you were in their place.  We never know what others have been through or are experiencing.  They are probably doing the best they can.

Charismatic people take into consideration the nationality, race, culture, religion, and position of other people.  They understand that everyone is different.  They show respect for and interest in those differences.  They understand the world would be a very boring place if we were all the same.  They make an effort to learn something from every person they meet.  They make other people feel important.

How about you?  Do you focus on others and show an interest in them?  Or, are you trying to impress them with who you are and what you have accomplished?
